Editorial standards

How we write, check and correct our guides, and how we handle the fact that we buy policies ourselves.

Where our facts come from

Insurer procedures come from the insurer's own website, forms or customer service, and every guide links to its source. Legal statements draw on Singapore statutes and official guidance such as MoneySense.

A date on everything

Each insurer guide shows the date we last checked its source. Links are tested automatically every month, and a person rereads every guide at least once a quarter, or sooner when an insurer changes its process.

Our interest, declared

We buy policies, so we have an interest in sales. Our guides still give the insurer's surrender route first, and compare every option fairly, including keeping your policy.

No paid placement

No insurer or other buyer pays to appear in our guides, or to be left out of them.

Corrections

If you spot an error, write to contact@surrenderpolicy.com. We correct factual errors within 5 working days and note the change, with its date, at the foot of the page.

Who writes and reviews

The SurrenderPolicy team writes and checks every guide. Legal and regulatory pages are checked again after any change in the rules.
