Does MAS regulate insurance policy buyers?

No. MAS regulates insurers and financial advisers, but not the people and companies who buy or broker traded life and endowment policies. That includes us. Here is what MoneySense says, what protection you still have, and what we do about it.

Can I complain to MAS about a buyer?

Because MAS does not regulate this activity, a complaint about a buyer usually goes to the buyer first, then to CASE, or to the police if you suspect fraud.

Does my insurer's regulation protect me in a sale?

It covers how your insurer handles the policy, such as recording the new owner. It doesn't cover the buyer's conduct.

Why does MoneySense warn investors?
