How Prudential handles surrenders

Prudential's FAQ points you to your financial representative or customer service for the surrender application form. Reconfirm the contact details on Prudential's own page before you act.

See your value

In the Prudential Singapore app or PRUServices: open the policy, then the Values tab and Surrender Value.

Your financial representative

Your representative can give you the surrender application form and help you complete it.

Customer service

Or ask customer service for the form: customer.service@prudential.com.sg, or the PRUcustomer line on 1800 333 0333.

Before you surrender

  • Your net surrender value

The figure in the app is an estimate. Ask for the net amount, after any loan and unpaid premiums.

  • What you give up

Surrender ends the cover, riders included, and any bonuses the policy would still have earned. See how your plan works in our plan directory, which covers PRUActive Cash, PRUFlexi Cash and other Prudential plans.

  • Cash without surrendering

Some plans allow a policy loan or a partial withdrawal, so you keep the policy. Ask Prudential what yours allows.

  • Nominations and trusts

A policy under a trust nomination may need the trustees' signatures.

How to submit

  1. Log in to the app or PRUServices and find the policy.
  2. Note the estimated surrender value.
  3. Check any loan, the cover you would lose and the projected values.
  4. Ask your representative or customer service for the surrender application form.
  5. Complete it with your bank details and sign it.
  6. Submit it through the official route and keep the acknowledgement.
  7. Check the payout and that premium deductions have stopped.

What to bring

What the application form asks for, including the bank account for your payout.

How you are paid

Prudential's FAQ does not publish a payout time. Ask when you submit.
